An office worker receives an invitation but decides to decline due to work. As they're about to respond back, a rhythm begins to surface, the sound of water and wind from a loʻi kalo. As the two soundscapes intertwine, office images dissolve into visions of the loʻi. What begins as routine work becomes a pull toward something deeper, until they can’t refuse the land’s invitation.

As familiar places close across O‘ahu, I revisit former locations using photographs to reconnect the memories tied to them. Some images align with the present, while others fail. Instead of relying on archives, I engage with these spaces as they are now, not what they once were. Showing how memories can stay when locations change.
